The OEM part’s design requirements are a balance between performance, efficiency, and refinement. Here at Forge Motorsport, Forge Motorsport has concentrated on the performance aspect of the product, which has been achieved by removing the internal restrictions then enlarging and smoothing out the pathway to the turbo.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSeveral different designs and material choices were tested until Forge Motorsport arrived with the product you see here. The construction of FMTIA13 is manufactured from\u003cstrong\u003ereinforced multi ply silicone\u003c\/strong\u003ewhich is more durable than the OEM plastic pipe and it wont suffer from heat soak like a metallic product can. With its\u003cstrong\u003eenlarged capacity and less restrictive surface area\u003c\/strong\u003eit routes air directly into your turbo charger and allows a greater volume of air to be compressed, this has a positive effect on accelerating your vehicle after long deceleration or in between gear changes due to more air being kept within the inlet tract to the turbo charger.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis is a product which is essential when tuning the 1.0 TSI engine (DLAA, DLA) as it was an area where Forge Motorsport saw positive gains when tuning the previous generation VAG 1.0 TSI.
