This 12/12 kg/mm specification is intended for customers who prioritise aggressive ride height, strong body control and precise handling. It is considerably firmer than the standard BR Series E38 configuration and is best suited to stance builds, performance road cars and vehicles running an intentionally low setup.

EXTRA LOW CONFIGURATION

The Extra Low version is specifically configured to achieve a greater lowering range than the standard-height BC Racing kit.

It is intended for vehicles where a very low ride height is an essential part of the build. The shorter operating range and firm 12/12 kg/mm spring setup help maintain improved body control at lower ride heights compared with attempting to achieve the same stance using a standard coilover configuration.

The lowest possible setting is not necessarily the correct operating height. Sufficient damper travel, tyre clearance, steering movement and chassis clearance must always be maintained.

Actual achievable ride height depends on vehicle weight, wheel and tyre dimensions, suspension condition and the remaining vehicle setup.

DAMPING ADJUSTMENT

The BR Series provides 30 levels of damping adjustment, allowing the driver to change compression and rebound together through a single adjuster.

Softer settings can be used for road driving, while firmer settings provide increased control during faster driving and rapid direction changes. Because this version uses 12 kg/mm springs at both axles, the overall ride will remain performance-oriented even at softer damper settings.

Adjustment should always be carried out progressively, using equal settings on the left and right sides of each axle.

IMPORTANT E38 FITMENT INFORMATION

Vehicles equipped with factory EDC electronic damping, rear self-levelling suspension or other electronically controlled suspension systems may require additional conversion components, coding or warning-light cancellation solutions.

BC Racing dampers do not communicate with the original BMW electronic damping control system.

The kit contains the application-specific components shown in the product images. Adjustable camber plates are not included with this E38 kit.

Professional installation is strongly recommended. Wheel alignment must be completed after installation and after the final ride height has been selected.

BC Racing CoC documentation can be requested for eligible European kits.

After receiving the suspension, send us clear photographs of the individual serial-number labels. The document is normally issued within approximately 2–3 working days after the required information has been submitted.

Registration and road-use requirements vary between countries. The customer is responsible for confirming the applicable local approval requirements before installation.
