A front upper strut brace helps keep the suspension mounting points more stable when the chassis is subjected to higher cornering and braking forces. This allows the suspension to operate more consistently and can provide a more direct, predictable feel through the steering wheel.
It is an effective chassis upgrade for lowered vehicles, cars fitted with performance suspension and Honda Civic builds used for spirited road driving or occasional track use.
IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION
On certain left-hand-drive models, particularly the Honda Civic EP2 1.6 D16V1, the brake fluid reservoir or its mounting bracket must be slightly repositioned to provide sufficient clearance for the strut brace.
The mounting holes correspond with the vehicle’s factory strut tower studs. Until the reservoir is repositioned, it can prevent the brace from reaching its final mounting position and make the mounting holes appear misaligned.
Minor relocation of the brake fluid reservoir is a normal installation requirement on affected applications and does not indicate incorrect product fitment.
Professional installation is recommended. Do not modify or enlarge the mounting holes before checking reservoir clearance and the final position of the brace.
